An Islamic celebration celebrated by Muslims globally immediately after Ramadan. It takes place after the new moon is sighted at the end of the holy month of Ramadan(29th/30th) marking the start of Shawwal-the 10th month in the Islamic calendar. Eid Al-Fitr is a day of celebration for the whole Ummah, It is a day of joy and happiness.Being grateful that He granted us a month of immense blessings, forgiveness and goodness.
Eid is a joyous day :a day when we wear our best clothes, offer Eid prayers in a congregation in the mornings, visiting family spreading love and joy all together. We congratulate each other and ask Allah to accept our deeds in Ramadan. It is the greatest gathering of Muslims, a symbol of strength, unity, brotherhood and love. The day of Eid is a day of joy and happiness, not a day of sin and disobedience to Allah. Islam being a religion of balance ,allows us to have fun so long as it is halal,in moderation and we do not make it our sole purpose.
(Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest Qur’an 13;18). Wishing you a happy Eid-Al-Fitr from Jamia Masjid Kibra.
